If your SanDisk SSD is just not showing up in This PC/Computer, it can be caused by out-dated device drivers, uninitialized SSD, incorrect drive letter or corrupted file system. Step 1: Open Disk Management as taught. Step 2: Find and right-click the SSD you want to initialize, and then click Initialize Disk. Step 3: In the Initialize Disk dialog box, select the disk (s) to initialize. You can select whether to use the master boot record (MBR) or GUID partition table (GPT) partition style. If a new, unformatted SSD isn't recognized at all, then either the drive has failed or it isn't installed correctly. If the drive is dead, yell at the manufacturer/retailer for a replacement.
Hello guys!
My 2017 13” MacBook Air starting show a blinking file in the screen and didn’t turn it on. So, I took to the Genius Bar, where they said the problem was with the drive. Sweet home 3d 6 0 1. Sketch for macbook pro.
So, I bought a brand new drive: OWC 240GB Aura Pro X2 SSD and changed it on my own. Followed the instructions from the website (I removed the battery first and then change the drive).
However:
Macbook Air Ssd Not Recognized
• The drive is not visible in the menu in Disc Utility from Recovery menu (after holding OPTION + COMMAND +R + STARTUP )
• Checked the ‘show all devices’ still not able to detected
• My macOS is Sierra 10.12.6
Please could anyone help me with that? Any ideas what does it could be?
Thanks in advance!
